I found this book interesting as an after school counselor for kindergartners I am constantly looking for new books to read to my group that the children can understand, enjoy, and learn from. I read through the entire book last night to see if it would be a good book to read to my group and I was glad to find that it would be the perfect book for my group. The author shows children how to interact with other children in a good manner. I particularly liked the scene where Matilda apologized to Mathew for yelling at him as it shows young children the value of apologizing. The book did a great job explaining rainbows in a way that young children could understand as well. I am very excited to read this book to my group; I am sure they will love the pictures as well. I was sent this book for free for a honest review.

Murder on Safari: A Thriller by Peter Riva

Book Description for : Murder on Safari: A Thriller by Peter Riva

Only a reality TV producer and an expert safari guide can stop a terrorist attack.

Every adventure starts at the fringes of civilization. For expert safari guide Mbuno and wildlife television producer Pero Baltazar, filming in the wild of East Africa should have been a return to the adventure they always loved. This time they’d be filming soaring vultures in northern Kenya and giant sea crocodiles in Tanzania with Mary, the daughter of the world’s top television evangelist, the very reverend Jimmy Threte.

But when a terrorist cell places them in the crosshairs, there is suddenly no escape and they must put their filming aside and combine all their talents to thwart an all-out al-Shabaab terrorist attack on Jimmy Threte’s Christian gathering of hundreds of thousands in Nairobi, Kenya.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have to say I found the beginning a bit boring there was nothing that really set it apart from any other murder novel. However I decided to keep reading and I am happy that I did because while the first few chapters might be a bit like other murder books afterwards it is like a whole new world of murder opens up. I really enjoyed the interaction between Nate, Bonnie, and the agents. This book would be an enjoyable read for any young adult reader who enjoy reading murder, terrorist, suspense novels. I really enjoyed how the author incorporated the foodie angle in to the novel. I did not think that murder and food would meld together, but the author managed the meld perfectly. I was provided a free copy of this book for review purposes.

Hot Bread

The Hot Bread Kitchen Cookbook: Artisanal Baking from Around the WorldThe Hot Bread Kitchen Cookbook: Artisanal Baking from Around the World by Jessamyn Waldman Rodriguez
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is a must have for anyone and everyone who enjoys baking. It has so many different bread recipes from around the world. The only thing better than the recipes are the tips the book provides.
1. How to use kitchen supplies to make bakery level bread
2. How to use different ingredients
3. How to store the bread correctly
4. Tips for each recipe
5. History on the different breads

The book is truly a must have for any baker. The recipes are easy to follow and they make sense. Just make sure to read the whole recipe before going shopping as many of the recipes require doughs as well. The dough recipes are often on different pages that require their own ingredients.
