ICB, Princess Bible, Hardcover, Purple Pearl: International Children's BibleICB, Princess Bible, Hardcover, Purple Pearl: International Children's Bible by Thomas Nelson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This bible is toned down a bit for younger children which is very nice. The graphic language in toned down a lot from a regular bible. This bible also uses words that younger children can understand and read. This book has a pretty purple ribbon bookmark so children can keep track of where they are. The only problem is that the pages are tissue paper thin making it super easy for young children to rip the pages on accident. The cover is very pretty and will attract any little princess.

Koreatown: A CookbookKoreatown: A Cookbook by Matt Rodbard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was hoping to find some cool Korean vegetarian or vegan recipes in this cook book. While I did find a few like some rice recipes and a few dessert recipes, I was over all upset by the lack of meatless recipe in this book. There were only a couple that I could adapt to use tofu instead of meat. This is not a good cook book for a vegan or vegetarian. However if that is not you and you enjoy spicy food then you will likely find some great Korean style recipes that you can make in your own kitchen.

The Play-Along Bible: Imagining God's Story Through Motion and PlayThe Play-Along Bible: Imagining God's Story Through Motion and Play by Bob Hartman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Play-Along Bible inspires children’s imaginations while growing their understanding of and love for God’s Word. Through simple hand motions, facial expressions, verbal exclamations, and funny noises, kids can participate and respond to God’s amazing story. Whether it’s acting out the dawn of creation by making a funny fish face or belting out a giant roar while pretending to be a ferocious beast in Daniel’s lions’ den, kids will encounter hundreds of fun ways to actively engage with the Bible. Using this fresh and easy, multi-sensory approach, you’ll be surprised how well your child will recall and absorb the Scriptures. Adding to the experience are delightful full-color illustrations from British artist Susie Poole.

I found the book to be in some ways much too simple, however then I had to consider that this book was intended for children three to six years old. I found that the book would be perfect for 3-5 year olds, however it might be a bit too simple for 6 and up. The book focuses on just the structure of many bible tales and leaves out the important insides of the story.

Last Stop: ParisLast Stop: Paris by John Pearce
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was a little disappointed when I got the book as I thought that this was book one not book two. Then when I went to read it I found myself very confused at the beginning because the book does nothing to recap what happened in book one. A prologue would have been really helpful.

That aside I was able to borrow book one from a friend and after speed reading it this book made a LOT more sense. I really liked the atmosphere of the book. The author did a great job with setting the sense and providing a sense of thrill and anticipation that keeps the reader at the edge of his or her seat. I really liked the part where Jeremy learns about Khan, to me this was the point when the book really started to get good. Jeremy was able to start to get into Khan's head and understand him a bit. From that point on the book just kept moving and never slowed down.

A Piece of You (Sami Rizzo series Book 3)A Piece of You by D Annechino
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoy reading murder mysteries and the ones that focus on serial killers have always been my favorites mainly because of the psychological elements involved in the cases. I did not read book one or book two of this series, yet besides being a little less knowledgeable on Detective Sami Rizzo, I did not feel like I was missing out on anything. This case was this case and not the cases she worked in books one and two. This aspect makes it easy for a reader to jump in anywhere in the series. I enjoyed this entire book, however my favorite parts were the areas where it was the killer's perspective. These sections allowed the reader to understand the killer, his motives, and his mercy.
