I'M GOING TO GIVE YOU A BEAR HUG is a very cute and sweet children's book. That teaches young children both the value and importance of love and care. It makes for a very good book to be read from a parent to a child. It would also be a decent starter book for a young reader.

Photographs from the edge was an interesting book on photography that taught me so much more than I currently knew about photo taking. The book is geared towards those with some knowledge and experience. I found the pictures in the book to be both beautiful and breath taking.

Moments of Choice: My Path to Leadership was an interesting well written and inspiring book about a young woman who rose from her troubled beginnings to become a Major General in the US Army. It took me a bit to really get into the book as I don't normally read military focused books, but as I began to realize the book was not really about the army, but about a young girl who rose from homelessness to greatness. I found it inspiring how she truly made something of herself and her story has truly inspired me. I feel like if she can rise so far then what it stopping others from doing the same?

A Servant Like Jesus by Lee Ann Mancini

Charlie is a shy kid who hides behind the cleanup sink at school. However, after his teacher asks him to be her helper, he springs into action when the fire coral stings his friend Bernie. Charlie goes to bed a little bit early because he wants to make sure he gets a goodnight's sleep. He wants to be a good helper for Miss Stella. He had decided that it was way more fun to be a helper than to hide behind a sink! Before he falls asleep, Charlie prays, "Dear Jesus, thank you for my great first day of school, and thank you for my mommy and daddy, all my new friends and for Miss Stella. Help me to always help others. Amen." Charlie learns he can overcome his shyness and be a servant like Jesus.

Review

A Servant Like Jesus by Lee Ann Mancini is an adorable children’s book that uses sea creatures to teach children important lessons about themselves and others. Each sea creature is adorable and unique while looking like the creature it is supposed to. The illustrations are beautifully done with how the scenery is kept realistic (for fiction) and how the fish are made to look cute so as to pull in young readers. The characters personalities are crafted to allow readers to understand and empathize with them. The story line was made both interesting and easy to follow. 

The fact that young Charlie learns to “come out of his shell” in order to help others and the fact that he learns how much fun it can be to be a helper can be inspirational to young children especially those who are shy, introverted, and special needs. After reading the book the character Charlie reminded me of some of the autistic children I have worked with; I was left wondering whether that was done on purpose or not. The way the Charlie is very shy and how he hides from the others until he is given a task that gives him purpose is very similar to those with autism.

My Review

Precious Moments Little Book of God's Love is an adorable book that brings back memories of when my grandmother would gift me a precious moment every Christmas. The book has adorable illustrations that really capture the meaning behind the precious moments collections. The story itself was very cute and is perfect for young children. It would also make good starter book for learning to read!

My Review

Corporate Citizen by Gabriel Valjan is the fifth and final book in the Roma Series. I have so far read all of the previous books in the Roma series. I have greatly enjoyed each and every one of them, though I have to say after finishing the whole series this one ended up being my overall favorite. 

I enjoyed the way that Corporate Citizen by Gabriel Valjan had all of the best elements of the previous books while still outshining them all. The fact that many of the same characters appeared through out all of the series was a nice element because it allowed the characters to truly develop into the characters they were in Corporate Citizen by Gabriel Valjan.

While I really enjoyed reading all of the books together and in order one of the great aspects of the series is the fact that the books can be read individually without losing an overall understanding of the plot and characters.

I really enjoyed the series and I hope that Gabriel Valjan decides to create an other series or novels as I would be very interested in reading more of his books.
