My Review
 WHAT’S NOT TRUE had me again closely following Kassie O’Callaghan as fate pulled her back to Boston. I really liked Kassie O’Callaghan in this book with her determination to be free and I felt for her with the drama of another woman trying to take everything that belonged to Kassie. I could not read the book fast enough to find out Kassie's fate.

Meet the Author:

​Ronald L. Ruiz is the author of a memoir and six previous novels. His novel Giuseppe Rocco (1998) received the national literary prize, 1998 Premio Aztlán Award, and his novel Life Long (2017) was named to Kirkus Reviews’ Best Books of 2017. His work has been compared to Richard Wright’s Native Son (Publisher’s Weekly, featured review) and his writing described as “frighteningly real” (New York Newsday). Ron was born and raised in Fresno, California, and educated at St. Mary’s College, University of California, Berkeley Law, and University of San Francisco School of Law. Ron practiced law for over 30 years in California, as a Deputy District Attorney, criminal defense attorney, and Deputy Public Defender. He was appointed to the California Agriculture Labor Relations Board by Governor Jerry Brown in 1974, and later served as the District Attorney of Santa Cruz County, California. Ron retired from criminal law and continues to write every day.

My Review
 LOST AND FOUND by Ronald L. Ruiz was a well written adult literacy fiction book. I enjoyed following Abel Mendoza on his journey of self-discovery. I really felt for him as his life began to crumble around him.  I liked how he went on a trip to escape and ended up in a relationship.

My Review
WHAT’S NOT SAID was a great women's fiction book that I found to be a great read! I really liked Kassie O’Callaghan and boy did she take me a tear jerkier of a ride. There were times were I just wanted her to forget about her husband and walk away and other times where I felt like I could really understand her choices and sympathize.

My Review

 I really enjoyed reading PRETTY BROKEN DOLLS: DETECTIVE KATIE SCOTT SERIES #6. The book had a nice pace to it that let me take in the different hints and clues while still following Katie on her hunt for the truth. I enjoyed following Katie and trying to figure out the mystery alongside her.

Raynelda Calderon

Raynelda Calderon grew up in the Dominican Republic, on a healthy diet of romance novels, comic strips, Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s books, and the strict watch of her mother. She has a doctorate in leadership in higher education and works as a public librarian.

As a librarian, working with children inspires her to write about the accomplishments of Hispanics in history. She hopes to inspire young readers to follow their passions.

My Review

I personally found Little Giants: 10 Hispanic Women Who Made History to be a good read. I normally don't like biographies, but I liked this collection as it was not too long and the author made it interesting. It was not just dry facts, but interesting information that drew me in and made me want to know more.
