Sir Princess Petra has already attained her knighthood in the Kingdom of Pen Pieyu and her non-princess-like talent certificate from Talent School, neither of which pleases her father and mother, the king and queen. The king writes up more silly rules in the royal rule book to deter Sir Princess Petra from her knightly ways and useless talent, and turn her into a real princess once and for all. Will the king finally succeed with this newly written, ridiculous mission for Petra?

Review

So to start off I want to say that I have not read Sir Princess Petra - The Pen Pieyu Adventures (book 1), by Diane Mae Robinson nor Sir Princess Petra's Talent - The Pen Pieyu Adventures (book 2), by Diane Mae Robinson. However was not a deterrent from me nor would it be for anyone because the book begins by summarizing the events of book one and book two;each summary only takes a few pages so it is easy to get caught up.

This book would be a great book for young girls as it would teach them about how they can rise about any expectations about their gender. There are not many children's books that show young girls being the hero or in this case the knight. The princess in this book makes new friends, goes on adventures, and outsmarts her father while without being mean or ruse.

As an after school counselor with experience with young children I would recommend this book for first through second graders if the child is the one reading the book. However this would be a great book for parents to read to younger children or with a child with advance reading skills.

I was sent a free copy of Sir Princess Petra's Mission The Pen Pieyu Adventures (book #3)

by Diane Mae Robinson for only my honest and unbiased review.
