I do not currently have any children of my own, but I am a child care counselor so I work with young children on a regular basis. I also watch my young cousin frequently. 99 Prayers for Children by Juliet David & Elina Ellis is a great book for any child that has learned to read. Young children that believe in God often have difficult knowing what and how to pray. 99 Prayers for Children by Juliet David & Elina Ellis teaches young children who can read how to pray and how to begin their prayers. This book does not have a prayer for every situation, but it is a good stepping stone for learning to create your own prayers.

The illustrations in 99 Prayers for Children by Juliet David & Elina Ellis are breath taking. They are all in cartoon style so as to interest a young child, but they are done amazingly well. Each picture is about the prayer and the picture takes up the whole page.

The 99 Prayers for Children by Juliet David & Elina Ellis book uses easy to understand language without any complicated words. Most of the prayers are short and sweet in order to keep a young child's attention while taking into account their short attention span.

One Prayer reads: "Peace be to this house and all who dwell here. Peace be to those who enter and to those who depart." The prayer is easy for any child to say and easy for a child to read and understand. Many of the prayers teach life lessons as well. For instance this prayer teach children to care about other people and to wish good things upon everyone.

Overall I would recommend this 99 Prayers for Children by Juliet David & Elina Ellis book to any parent wishing to teach their child about prayer. 99 Prayers for Children by Juliet David & Elina Ellis would also make a great gift especially because the first page is a " presented to ___ from__ on the occasion of ___" page.
