The Truth about Angles by Tony Evans

How much do you know about angels?

Few supernatural beings are of more speculation than angels. In art we see them depicted as chubby babies and fierce, radiant warriors. Sometimes they wield swords; other times a bow and arrow surrounded by floating hearts. Some have halos; some do not. Clearly we’re confused.

In The Truth About Angels, Tony Evans goes to the Scriptures to set the record straight. He clearly and simply explains who angels are, what they do, and it what it all means for the everyday lives of believers.

A short, practical, and engaging book, The Truth About Angels is a one-stop guide to the role of angels in the world and eternity. It will help you fight the good fight of faith, knowing that the heavenly hosts are waging war on your behalf.

From the Back Cover
"Why do you need to know about angels?" Because there’s a divine fight happening, and you are the prize!

Angels are one thing in pop culture and another in the Bible. But given their critical role in life and eternity, we need to know the truth.

In his clear, engaging style, Tony Evans sets the record straight. Giving the Bible’s basic teaching on angels and demons, he explains:

Their origin, activities, and future
How to understand them and their impact on us
How to use their gifts and services for God
Everything we see in the physical realm is somehow influenced by something in the spiritual realm. Angels and demons are at the heart of the struggle—and so are you.

My Review

I have to say part of the reason this book became interesting to me was because of the TV show supernatural. The shows has angels and demons as characters and after having watched the show for a while I realized I did not really know that much fact about angles. When I came across this book for review I immediately was interested. I found the book to be a bit dry, but I was expecting that. I really liked how the book kept everything short and too the point. I found it interesting to learn about angles. One thing I learned that I did not know before was that mediums and spiritualists are consider wrong in the eyes of God and that they are not from God. I was never a believer of mediums, but I never really thought of them as wrong, just frauds. I was sent this book for free for only my honest and unbiased review.
