The
Brotherhood of the Blade: Volume 1 (Cyfandir) by Andrew Zabriskie is part of a Christian
series that is a mix of fantasy and science fiction. The Brotherhood of the
Blade: Volume 1 (Cyfandir) by Andrew Zabriskie is a book that will appeal most
to a young adult Christian audience, however adult Christians would also find
the book entertaining. The Brotherhood
of the Blade: Volume 1 (Cyfandir) by Andrew Zabriskie follow two twin orphans called
Daryn and Arec who have lived a difficult life. Daryn and Arec’s lives are forever
altered when they go out fishing a meet a priest very near to death’s door. The
priest leaves behind an amazingly well-crafted golden key and many questions
for Daryn and Arec. Daryn and Arec set out on a quest, with their friend Chay,
which is filled with adventures as they work their way all the way across Aveliria.
The group of questers are put in danger by the Azrahteran empire attempting to
conquer Aveliria.
Move
over Bilbio, Frodo, Sam, Legolas, Aragon, and Thorin and make room for twin
brothers Daryn and Arec as well as their friend Chay as they show you a new way
to complete a quest. I have to say The Brotherhood of the Blade: Volume 1
(Cyfandir) by Andrew Zabriskie really reminded me of the Lord of the Rings and
The Hobbit with how there is a quest, a journey, and all sorts of danger. I
liked the fact that the questers were of a younger age as it made their
mistakes seem realistic. I also greatly enjoy the Christian aspects of The
Brotherhood of the Blade: Volume 1 (Cyfandir) by Andrew Zabriskie. I finished
the book with a feeling of excitement because a book 2 is coming!
