Author:
Because she loves historical fiction, Shelley looked for a good novel about the Buddha. When she didn’t find one that satisfied her, she decided to write her own novels based on the spiritual struggles of women in the Buddha’s time. She published the first book in the Sadhana Trilogy, The Tigress and the Yogi, in 2016 and will publish the second, The Mountain Goddess in early 2017.
My Review
The Mountain Goddess by Shelley Schanfield was a very interesting adventure book with a focus on spiritual enlightenment. I found that I really liked Dhara and she was by far my favorite character. I enjoyed reading as she developed fully into the strong woman that she became. The story line was easy to follow and it moved at a fast pace which kept the story from becoming boring. Overall, I really enjoyed reading the Mountain Goddess.
