Sid the Sasquatch by Wendy Elliott

Sid the Sasquatch by Wendy Elliott is a fairy tale fictional picture pop up children’s book. Sid the Sasquatch by Wendy Elliott is a book that will appeal most to an audience made up of children from preschool through first grade. Sid the Sasquatch by Wendy Elliott follows a Sasquatch named Sid as he wishes to do more than watch human children from the shadows and hid away. A simple accident leads to Sasquatch Sid meeting human Ollie. The two boys are both from different species and both have very different skills, personalities, and families yet together they learn to appreciate their differences and become fast friends.

Sid the Sasquatch by Wendy Elliott is a book with beautiful illustrations of Sasquatch Sid, the Sasquatch family, and the two boys playing together. The illustrations are what really make the book worth reading for young children. The writing is kept both brief and interesting with only a few lines of writing on each page. This style of writing is often appealing to young children as it prevents them from becoming overwhelmed with a lot of words all at once. Sid the Sasquatch by Wendy Elliott teaches children that everyone is different and that our difference is what makes us special; Sid the Sasquatch by Wendy Elliott also encourages children to be friends with people who are different from them and to show kindness. Sid the Sasquatch by Wendy Elliott is a well written children’s book though especially young children may need help with sounding out some of the words.
